IMAGIN Diagnostic Centres, Inc. Signs an Exclusive Distribution Agreement with Naviscan PET Systems, Inc. (USA)

IMAGIN Diagnostic Centres, Inc. to Bring the 1st Breast Specific PET Mammography to Canada

TORONTO - July 25, 2006 - IMAGIN Diagnostic Centres, Inc. (“IMAGIN”) announced today that it has signed an Exclusive Distribution Agreement in Canada with Naviscan PET Systems, Inc. (“Naviscan”). Naviscan headquartered in Rockville, MD, USA, is a developer of a proprietary breast-specific PET technology called PEM or Positron Emission Mammography that has USA FDA approval for sale.

Breast cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers, and the existing tools for its diagnosis and staging, and their accuracy have been very limited until now. The PEM camera can detect very small tissue abnormalities such as cancerous growth within the actual milk ducts of the breast because of its high resolution. Once the cancer breaks through the membrane of the duct it then becomes invasive and is more difficult to treat.

Marketed under the name PEM Flex™, the Naviscan device achieves spatial resolution that is unprecedented for a clinical device. Clinical data from U.S. research studies are demonstrating a clear superiority on the detection of Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS) and lobular carcinomas as compared to more traditional imaging tests such as mammography and MRI. X-ray mammography is believed to be about 22% effective in determining DCIS whereas the accuracy of PEM ahs been shown to be approximately 91%.

IMAGIN has secured Health Canada approval for the clinical trial of the PEM Flex™ device in Canada. The first PEM Flex™ Solo I, which was purchased by IMAGIN will be delivered into Canada in November 2006. At least two more state of the art devices, PEM Flex™ Solo II, with even better sensitivity, are scheduled for delivery in 2007.
The term of the Agreement is three years with a possibility of extension for additional two two-year periods.
“We are excited about the prospect of having a strategic partnership with Naviscan”, said Cynthia Jordan, CEO of IMAGIN. “According to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada, about 21,600 Canadian women are diagnosed with breast cancer and 5,300 die from it every year. We look forward to working within the Canadian healthcare system to assist in the savings of more lives through early detection and more accurate staging and treatment planning. Early detection equates to more favorable survivor rate.”

“The introduction of PEM to Canada by IMAGIN is an incredible leap forward in the early diagnosis of breast cancer for Canadian women”, said David Wilson, CEO of Quantum Molecular Pharmaceuticals, Inc. “PEM also offers an incredible opportunity as a new market for the radiopharmaceuticals produced by Quantum Molecular Pharmaceuticals, Inc., an affiliated IMAGIN company.”

IMAGIN Diagnostic Centres, Inc. is a closely held developmental stage company dedicated to being the leader in bringing PET (“Positron Emission Tomography”) and PET/CT (“Computed Tomography”) technology to Canadians. IMAGIN has significant strategic investments in Positron Corporation (POSC.OB: NASD Bulletin Board), International P.E.T. Diagnostics, Inc., CareImaging Corp., Quantum Molecular Pharmaceuticals, Inc., as well as other PET or radiopharmaceutical centres. IMAGIN is located in Toronto, Ontario.
