Positron Announces Appointment of New Officers

Houston, TX — (BUSINESS WIRE) — 29 Dec 2005 — Positron Corporation (OTCBB:POSC - News), today announced that it has appointed Joseph Oliverio as its new President. Oliverio joins recently hired, J. David Wilson, Chief Executive Officer and Corey N. Conn, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Operations. Oliverio replaces Griffith Miller as the Company's President, while Miller remains Positron's Executive Vice President of Software and IT Technologies. This new management team will lead Positron's current PET product and service offerings as well as enhance the development of disease specific software and radiopharmaceutical solutions for use on Positron's next generation PET, PET / CT scanners. The new management team enables Positron to add the greatest value to our development and manufacturing joint venture partner Neusoft Medical Systems of China.

Oliverio said, "With our joint venture partner Neusoft Medical Systems, Positron will continue serving our PET users with superior PET cameras as well as develop new innovative hardware and software solutions. Prior to becoming President of Positron, Oliverio was Chief Operating Officer of a well known coronary disease reversal and prevention center owned by Michael E. Merhige, M.D. Oliverio is a certified nuclear medicine technologist and has performed more than 13,000 combined heart and cancer PET scans using Positron devices and brings to Positron a valuable combination of business, clinical and technical skill sets. Oliverio has been involved with Positron in various capacities since 1995. Oliverio has also joined the Board of Directors of Neusoft-Positron Medical Systems Co., Ltd., a joint venture with Neusoft Medical Systems of China that will develop and manufacture Positron's PET and PET/CT products.

Positron's Chief Executive Officer, J. David Wilson, also serves as the chief executive officer, president and founder of Quantum Molecular Pharmaceutical, Inc., and has extensive experience in PET and molecular radiopharmaceutical markets. Prior to Quantum, Wilson founded and served as president of CI Pharma Inc., a radiopharmaceutical company formed to cater to a new vertical market for cancer staging and diagnosis drugs. Wilson's focus at Positron is to guide Positron's growth towards new products and related nuclear medicine fields that will leverage Positron's position as a leader in PET technology.

Griffith Miller, Positron's Executive Vice President of Software and Information Technology, has an extensive background in software and information technology with specific expertise in PET imaging software and how data is acquired, disseminated and viewed by the Positron systems. Miller has been a partner in the development of the Positron's industry leading software for the past ten years.

Corey Conn, Positron's Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Operations, brings over 15 years of business experience in developing and managing information services companies. Conn currently also serves as chief executive officer of Imagin Molecular Corporation, a holding company whose focus is developing and acquiring equity positions in companies associated with medical imaging. Prior to Imagin, Conn was vice president of business development at iXL, an e-business and e-transformations services provider.
